If you’re a pre-tenure faculty member, maybe you spent some time this summer thinking about—or even dreading—writing your NSF CAREER proposal. How to start, what reviewers really want, how to juggle it all alongside your teaching and research… I’ve been thinking about it too: creating a new cohort-based opportunity so you won’t have to do it alone.

What is ‘Write Your CAREER’?

Write Your CAREER is a new, small-group online NSF CAREER proposal coaching program. Over eight modules and group calls, you’ll get:

• Step-by-step structure so you don’t miss key requirements or deadlines
• Targeted feedback on your research, education, and broader impacts
• Accountability and support from peers and an experienced CAREER awardee

By the end of the program, you’ll leave with a full working draft proposal in hand, plus clear next steps for revisions, letters, and institutional approvals.

I’ve supported nearly a dozen junior faculty through the CAREER proposal process and also served on NSF review panels. This program distills what I’ve learned — the pitfalls to avoid, the strategies that work, and how to keep momentum without burning out. You’ll have guidance at every step, from shaping your big-picture vision → to crafting a strong narrative → to preparing the final submission.
